We’ve completed the final phase of our return to live, in-person services. With Sunday school, Children’s Church, Wednesday evening services, and Connection Groups back in full swing, everything should resemble a level of normalcy when you come back to NorthSide. But we are still ensuring we take steps to meet everyone’s comfort level.

We recommend following these guidelines:

1- Who should consider coming to NorthSide during this phase?

  • If you can answer “yes” to any of these questions, we ask that you wait until all answers are “no” before returning to the church building:
    • Have you been in close contact with a confirmed case of Covid-19 in the past 14 days?
    • Are you experiencing a cough, shortness of breath, OR sore throat?
    • Have you had a fever (100+) in the last 48 hours?
    • Have you had new loss of taste or smell?
    • Have you had vomiting or diarrhea in the last 24 hours?
  • If you have an immune deficiency or weakened immune system, you may want to consider waiting a bit longer before returning

2- What’s available

  • Our Sunday morning service will begin with Sunday school for all ages starting at 9:00am, followed by our worship service at 10:00am. During the worship service, we offer both nursery and Children’s Church (through 5th grade).
  • Our Wednesday evenings start with prayer in the youth hall at 5:00pm for 30 minutes, then a time of just hanging out until 6:00pm. The youth service begins at 6:00pm; and the adult Table Talk and Children’s Church services begin at 7:00pm.

3- What You Can Expect

  • Masks are optional for everyone but are not required
  • The seats in the sanctuary have been strategically placed to optimize seating capacity while still maintaining “social distancing”
  • Our altars are open for prayer. If you go to the altar at any time during the service it is possible that someone will come pray with you.
  • You will be given opportunity to give your tithe and offering as the offering bags come by. You are also encouraged to continue giving online.
  • The water fountains will not be operational
    • Water bottles will be available
  • There will be coffee available in the foyer before service begins

4- More practical ways to help maintain comfort levels amid “social distancing”

  • Avoid handshakes, hugs, etc.
  • Do not congregate, especially near entryways
  • Limit the surfaces you touch; use hand sanitizer liberally
